Rusk County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Care Access Hospital located in Ladysmith, WI along the beautiful Flambeau River. We provide residents and visitors of Rusk County and surrounding communities with outstanding healthcare and a friendly, close-to-home atmosphere.
We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time Registered Dietitian (RD). The RD is responsible for providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using the Nutrition Care Process, including nutritional screening and assessments of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, pregnant/lactating, and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions as a member of the interdisciplinary care team. This position initiates and completes MNT for both Inpatient and Outpatient services, provides MNT for patients receiving enteral tube feeding and parenteral nutrition, implements nutrition care plans to meet patient’s nutritional needs and counsels and educates patients, family members, employees, medical staff and community members on nutrition and wellness topics. Develops, conducts and evaluates educational classes and materials. Participates in developing wellness topics and updating procedures, protocols and departmental policies. The RD will be responsible for facilitating compliance with state and other regulatory agencies related to nutrition care, participating in the development, implementation and monitoring of quality initiatives and providing consultative services to long-term care facility and Clinic at Riverside.
This position will also be responsible for planning and delivering nutritional care to patients according to the physicians’ diagnoses, performing as a member of the multidisciplinary care team, screening newly admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk, supervising Nutritional Services Technicians and other support staff, and exercising independent judgment under the general supervision of the Nutritional Services Director.
