Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six week educational workshop series designed to help family caregivers. This program will help you take care of yourself while caring for a relative or friend. You will benefit from this class whether you are helping a parent, spouse, partner, friend, someone who lives at home, in assisted living, in a nursing home, or across the country.
This program helps family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings better, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.
Classes consist of six sessions held once a week. Interactive lessons, discussions, and brainstorming will help you take the “tools” you choose and put them into action for your life.
Classes will be held at Rusk County Memorial Hospital in the Riverside Room Sessions are held from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursdays starting February 22. A class fee of $10 will be collected on the first day. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Call (715) 537-6225 if you are interested in attending or would like more information.
