Nellie Randall, Coumadin Clinic nurse

Rusk County Memorial Hospital’s Clinic at Riverside is pleased to announce the launch of their Coumadin Clinic for managing anticoagulation therapy.  Blood thinning medications such as Coumadin (Warfarin) require regular blood tests to ensure patients are receiving the correct dosage. Attending a Coumadin Clinic can minimize the risk of potential complications from taking blood thinning medication.

The Coumadin Clinic allows patients to schedule a free 15 minute appointment with the Clinic at Riverside’s anticoagulation registered nurse, Nellie Randall, after a lab draw. In the appointment, patients have the opportunity to review lab results and dosing instructions in person with the registered nurse who works directly with the patient’s provider to make any necessary medication changes. Participating in a Coumadin Clinic provides patients with immediate results, instructions and education in a one-on-one setting conveniently following their lab draw.

The Coumadin Clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. To schedule a Coumadin Clinic appointment, call the Clinic at Riverside at 715-532-5561.
