RCMH Acquires New State-of-the-Art Sterilization System

Rusk County Memorial Hospital (RCMH) recently acquired a new state-of-the-art Sterrad NX Sterilization System, a low temperature sterilization unit for use on medical devices and surgical instruments.

This equipment represents a new technology in sterilization as it is able to quickly and safely sterilize equipment without the use of toxic chemicals or high temperatures. This new technology benefits patients by reducing procedure wait times, ensuring safe and effective sterilization of equipment and 

RCMH is only the third facility in Wisconsin to have this technology and is the first to have the new Velocity 30 Minute Biological Indicator unit, used to verify the effectiveness of the sterilizer on a daily basis, ensuring the safest practices for patients and staff.
