RCMH Offering New Exercise Class, TRX

September 23, 2016

Beginning October 10 through December 9, Rusk County Memorial Hospital (RCMH) will be offering TRX (Total-Body Resistance Exercise) Suspension training classes to the public. Many of the workout sessions will be held at Bodytherapy in Motion in the Miner Plaza.

Designed to be adaptable to all fitness levels, TRX Suspension Training uses functional movements and bodyweight-based resistance to provide a total-body workout that activates all your muscles at once to build strength, mobility and endurance. Workouts combine flexibility, core, cardio and strength training to maximize results in just 30 minutes a day. TRX can benefit people of all fitness levels as each person can choose their own level of difficulty.

Employees of RCMH trialed the TRX program earlier this year. Of the 24 staff attendees who regularly attended sessions (defined as participating in at least two sessions each week), 100% achieved the self-identified fitness goals they set prior to the launch of the program.

Workouts will be offered on Mondays at 2:15 pm and 6:30 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 am and 12:30 pm and Wednesdays at 2:15 pm and 6:00 pm. Workouts are offered at Bodytherapy in Motion with the exception of the 6:30 pm class on Mondays and the 12:30 pm classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays—these will be offered at Rusk County Memorial Hospital in the Riverside Room.

Purchase a $50 punch card for 8 workouts and attend any 8 sessions. Individual workouts can be purchased for $8 per session. Participants are not required to commit to a specific time frame. Drop in whenever you can, at whatever time works best for you! (Keep in mind there are 10 spots available per workout session.)

Take advantage of this great opportunity to get active, use unique equipment and be coached by professionals, all at a reasonable cost! Interested individuals should fill out a registration packet found at Bodytherapy in Motion or the RCMH Physical Therapy Department.
