RCMH Receives Excellence in Healthcare Award

Rusk County Memorial Hospital (RCMH) was recently recognized as a 5-Star Excellence Award Winner for scoring in the top 10% nationally for HCAHPS - Discharge Information by national healthcare research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). Rusk County Memorial Hospital was honored with this Excellence in Healthcare Award during the 2016 Excellence in Healthcare Conference in Miami, Florida, May 18-21. The award was presented by Joe Snipp, PRC Director of Research Analytics, Client Development and New Product Development, during a reception held at RCMH on May 31.

“Congratulations to everyone for everything you’ve done each day to make this a remarkable place to receive healthcare in Wisconsin,” said Snipp. “This award is certainly well-earned and I encourage you all to celebrate and embrace this remarkable accomplishment."

Dawn Garcia, RCMH Quality Director, acknowledged the work of the entire staff and commended them for the many awards they have received in the past two years, including state recognition for partnering with patients and national awards for clinical outcomes and maintaining a safe environment. “Staff has always provided great care and is now being recognized for quality work.”

The Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize organizations and individuals who achieve excellence throughout the year by improving patient experiences, healthcare employee engagement and/or physician alignment and engagement based on surveys of their patients. 

“It is an honor to recognize Rusk County Memorial Hospital with this Excellence in Healthcare Award for their deserving work,” said Joe M.
