RCMH Speech Therapist Earns ASHA Certification

July 21, 2017

Rusk County Memorial Hospital’s Speech Therapist, Sabrina Fleurantin, MS Ed., CCC-SLP, recently earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). This nationally recognized professional credential represents excellence in the field of Audiology or Speech Language Pathology.

“Pursuing this certification has helped me obtain knowledge and skills reflective of best practices that encompass the most recent research findings. This certification shows that I have met rigorous standards in order to provide the best care for my patients,” says Fleurantin.

Fleurantin also recently had the good fortune of attending specialty conferences on evaluation and therapy for swallowing difficulties and voice modification. “I am a lifelong learner and my education has prepared me well to care for outpatients as well as patients in our hospital.”
