RCMH offers many amenities and services to make your hospital stay comfortable and friendly. These features include:
Cafeteria food service hours are from 11:00 am - 1:15 pm daily. The dining area of the cafeteria is open 24 hours.
If you would like a guest meal tray to be delivered to a patient's room, please arrange and pay for it at registration.
Telephones are located at the bedside for patients. Long distance phone calls may be placed with a calling card by dialing 5 for an outside line.
Worship services are held at our Chapel on Thursdays at 2:00 pm. The Chapel is also open during visiting hours for individuals seeking an area for quiet meditation or reflection.
Our Cyber Café offers many comfort services for guests. Patients and visitors can enjoy free coffee or tea and healthy vending choices 24/7. Free Wi-Fi, USB hookups to charge your phone and a TV are offered in this additional wait space. A computer is available for guests to find information on health and well being.
Free translator service
Rusk County Memorial Hospital provides complementary translator services to patients and visitors and we encourage the use of interpreter services whenever necessary.
Hand hygiene is also of the utmost importance to us. We wash or sanitize our hands before and after every patient we see and encourage patients and visitors to wash their hands regularly to stay healthy.
To help make patients and visitors feel welcome and at-ease, several pieces of artwork, featuring regional artists, were commissioned specifically for the lobby and Cyber Café. These complement other works displayed throughout the hospital and demonstrate the peaceful beauty and imagination of the communities we live in. We encourage patients and visitors to pick up an art brochure near the concierge desk in the front lobby to engage in a self-guided tour.
Our Healing Garden features native grasses and florals, a bubbling rock and outdoor benches near the main entrance. In addition, the Healing Garden is enhanced by a sculpture depicting a prairie falcon soaring through a natural opening created in the beautiful Needles rock formation. The garden provides a positive distraction from stress, pain and discomfort for patients, as well as a sense of peace for visitors and staff.
Nurses and staff members will be checking your identification band and/or asking you questions to help us verify your identification often. We will be checking your band before administering medications, performing any tests or procedures and giving you blood.
Mail is distributed to patients by our staff. Outgoing mail can be placed in the mailbox located near the front entrance of the hospital.
Rusk County Memorial Hospital is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is prohibited in the hospital and in the parking lot.
Our spiritual room accommodates families and guests when a quiet space or time for personal reflection is needed.
Vending machines are located throughout the hospital:
Parking is available in front of the hospital, Clinic at Riverside and Marshfield Clinic.
Our staff members value compliments and unique stories from patients’ perspectives. We like to know when staff members are going above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care. Patients or visitors can choose to compliment or thank a special individual who helped make their hospital stay or visit remarkable. Your comments will be shared with our staff.
