24-Hour Crisis Line
Rusk County Department of Health & Human Services provides a 24-hour 7-days-a-week, state-certified emergency mental health crisis line. If you, a family member, or someone you are responding to is experiencing an emergency mental health crisis, call the crisis line.
Mobile response is available from 4:00 p.m. to midnight daily. Emergency mental health services are confidential. If the mental health crisis appears to be one of imminent danger, please call 9-1-1 immediately.
When Should I Call the Crisis Line?
If you or another person:
- Plans to harm self or others.
- Is overwhelmed or out of control.
- Is in acute psychiatric crisis.
- Has severe depression/anxiety/grief.
- Needs help to reduce immediate emotional stress.
- Has symptoms of acute psychiatric illness.
- Needs other emergency mental health services.
