Digital Technology Means Better Care for Patients
Up to the minute information is essential to quality healthcare decisions. In November 2006, the Imaging Center at Rusk County Memorial Hospital became the first site in Wisconsin to be 100% filmless for all diagnostic imaging including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and General Radiography studies. By using a Fuji Synapse Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Rusk County Memorial Hospital physicians are allowed instant access to all images and reports from anywhere in the hospital, their clinic, or from their home.
Image Portability
Rusk County Memorial Hospital recently acquired a PacsCube Lite CD burner that allows for the distribution of digital images to patients, referring physicians and institutions requesting patient studies. The burner records the digital images onto a CD and viewing software so images can be reviewed by physicians from any computer.
