A hospitalist oversees and coordinates a patient’s care from admission through diagnosis, treatment and discharge from the hospital. Hospitalists can be medical doctors (MDs) or advanced practice nurse practitioners (APNPs) with specialized training to care for patients in the medical, surgical, intensive care, swing bed and observation programs. Our hospitalists provide 24/7 exceptional care in the hospital so patients can have a full recovery when they return home.
